She is presently the Founder-Editor of Pickle Jar, an audio video content company that aims to tell stories of a vibrant & changing India. Vasanthi Hariprakash is an award-winning radio anchor and TV journalist, political analyst, a public speaker and a soon-to-be podcaster.
Her journey in the media in the past two decades has passed through The New Indian Express, NDTV 24x7 and a South Asia series documentary on the BBC World News. This Lok Sabha elections, Vasanthi set out on a 3000-km 18-day roadtrip in a selfdriven car across Kerala Tamil Nadu and Karnataka to give people unbiased insights on India on issues like water, jobs, health; with her reporting in Kannada Tamil Malayalam Hindi & English.
She is also a mentor on invitation by the the US Consulate in Chennai to guide young adults towards their goals.
Vasanthi was given the Dazzling Daughter award by PRCI; she also won the India Radio Excellence Award in 2007 as India's English RJ of the year , and was sent to London that year to study the best practices of the radio space.
On her social media, she tells migrant tales via her hashtags Cabbie Conversations; on the 'diary of a working woman' she shares what an Indian woman juggles everyday. Vasanthi is also a mythology storyteller, recites Sanskrit shlokas and sings Tamil classical numbers, hums half-tunes from films, but loves telling full stories.
